March 9, 1940-Dated, Typed Letter Signed, “Harry Truman” as Senator, on "United States Senate-Committee On Interstate Commerce" official letterhead, 1 page, 10.5” x 8” at Washington, D.C., Choice Extremely Fine. This letter typed in bright blue to George C. Vermillion of Missouri, thanking him for his previous letter, and promising to, in part: "... make an inquiry to find out just how your case is progressing. I am expecting to be at the meeting of the Young Democrats in Kansas City… I certainly am glad to hear that the Governor is losing ground." Boldly and vividly fully signed, “Harry Truman” measuring about 3” long in deep black. An impressive clean letter, having good political content and comment.
