HARRISON & MORTON PAPER BANDANNA. A true rarity, a paper bandanna for Harrison and Morton. Portraits of the candidates within wreaths and patriotic emblems are surrounded by the slogans: "Republican Nominees. Protect Your Home. Protect Your Industry. No Free Trade 1888." Inscribed below "Keep & Co. Campaign Novelties, 50 Bond St., N.Y.," 17.5" square. The border is a medley of Orientalist designs, bamboo caning, Japanese lanterns, butterflies, doves, parasols, fans & flowers. The border designs are printed in powder blue, turquoise, orange and gold. In all likelihood, very few of these have survived. Minor wrinkles and paint bleeding on edges.
