HARDTACK FROM A GETTYSBURG VET- 134TH NY. A group of three pieces of hardtack and a bisquit, found in the effects of Captain William H. Mickle of the 134th NY. Two pieces string bound in oiled paper with penciled inscription "Hard tack. Gettysburg 1863-1913 (illegible) Mickle." Two loose-wrapped in oiled paper, one with partial pencil inscription on surface of hardtack. String bound group not examined, though are solid; loose wrapped pieces have suffered some damage.
