Plate Size : 22.5 X 27.5 cm / 8.9 X 10.8 inch.

Additional Information : This is an original etching by Hans Meid.
This etching is Signed "Meid" in the plate in the lower right corner, as well as dated in the plate '13 (1913) next to the signature.
The lower margin of the paper also bears the details of the work (title,artist,technique) and of the printer and publisher.
It was printed for "Vervielfaltigende Kunst" in Wien, Austria by "Verlag der Gesellschaft" probably in the 20's.
Vervielfaltigende Kunst was one of the leading art journals during the early twentieth century that published original etchings, lithographs and woodcuts on a regular basis.
Some of the greatest prints from this vital era were commissioned and published by:
The Studio, London ; Pan, Germany ; The Print Connoisseur, USA ; and Vervielfaltigende Kunst, Vienna.
Vervielfaltigende Kunst issued it first original etching in 1871. During the following sixty years it published masterworks by Austrian, German, Czech, Swiss, French, Dutch and English artists.
More internationally focused and less conservative than most of its rival publishers, Vervielfaltigende Kunst became a spearhead for the vibrant experiments of Symbolist, Expressionist and Secessionist artists during the initial decades of the twentieth century.
Also, it superb printing techniques were second to none.
As a result, Vervielfaltigende Kunst is now regarded as a most vital fine art publisher of its day.

2 stains in the lower margins, Short tear in the left margins. Handling creases.
