HABBARID, GHAZNAVID, and related types: LOT of 39 coins, including (1) group of 8 copper fulus, one correctly assigned to Muhammad (A-4541), the others testatively assigned to various rulers but all are very unclear, average VG condition (2) group of 4 uncertain silver dammas, average Fine (3) one Late-Habbarid "triangle" damma, formerly assigned to the Fatimid al-Mustansir but now known to cite the Abbasid al-Qa'im and an uncertain governor called al-Mu'askar, VF but 70% flat strike (4) group of 3 coper falus, mostly illegible, average VG; and (5) group of 23 common Ghaznavid, including dirhams (many clipped down) and dammas, all or nearly all of Ibrahim, average Fair to VG condition and of minimal value; all with the consignor's identification, but most are no longer correct or at best tentative; retail value $250, lot of 39 pieces, ex Ian Todd Collection.
