H&R 2nd Variation Self-Loading Semi-Automatic Pistol, #8378, .32 ACP cal., 3-1/2'' barrel, high polish blue finish, case hardened trigger, factory checkered hard rubber grips, with one factory original nickel-plated magazine. Mfg'd between 1914-1924. As they were never shipped in serial number sequence, it is difficult to date any particular pistol. It is interesting to note that in their 1939 & 1940 catalogs, H&R offered the remaining inventory of these pistols to take advantage of war-time shortages of handguns. Condition is about fine retaining approx. 94% original factory blue with light wear at foward edges of slide and general thinning and some micro-scratching to slide area as well. Minor thinning to front and backstrap and at high points of safety. Grips show slight thinning. Grip screws with very minor marring. Action is crisp, bore is fine. Est.: $350-$500. (C&R)
