Description: For your consideration we offer this H. M. Quackenbush Bicycle Model pistol with wire shoulder stock in a .22 caliber. This quirky and unique pistol is fairly rare and is in nice condition for its age with original nickel finish. According to Wikipedia: The Quackenbush rifle, invented by industrialist Henry M. Quackenbush, is a clever but cheaply made "Boys' rifle" sold in large numbers in the 1893-1920 period. They came with either a fixed wire stock or one that slid forward for use as a "bicycle rifle." The Quackenbush rifles are fairly desirable collector items today. This one comes with the padded pistol case pictured. Maker: HM Quackenbush. Approx. Age: These were made between circa 1893 - 1920. Size: Barrel measures 12 inches long. Condition: Pretty good for its age, normal wear expected with some scratches and flaking on the nickel finish, but it is tight in its mechanical aspects. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $15 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that. *****This firearm requires an FFL Transfer*****
