The letter reads: "<I>Let me see the sketches and the letters, by all means. I'll be delighted to see them. They sound very interesting, and I believe that they will fit into our great family journal as if made for it. What became of my first letter I don't know. The address I had was wrong. When you see Miss Monroe please give her my regards. I have a lot of admiration for her.</B></I>" Two vertical mailing folds, else fine condition. The original mailing envelope imprinted with Mencken's address is retained.
