Available for bidding in this lot is a very early "Exposition Universelle Internationale 1900 Stereoscope "Perfecsope", with 200 scene cards, ranging in release dates from late 19th C - early 20th C, also ranging in manufacture. This stereoscope is labeled on the bottom with "The "Perfecscope" TRADE MARK - U.S.A. PATENT OCT. 15 1895 - CANADA, FRANCE, GERMANY - DRGM NO. 53803" as well as "JAMES M DAVIS AGENT - 21 WASHINGTON PL. - NEW YORK .U.S.A". The top of the "Perfecscope" is stamped "Exposition Universelle Internationale 1900 - H.C. White Co.". This stereoscope is manufactured with a stamped metal, and wooden construction, this particular stereoscope features ornate copper-like accent coloring and dark stained wooden trim. This steroscope is in fair shape, missing its bottom handle, one card holding tab, and the felt that circles the view finder - it is rare to find a steroscope with so many cards. The stereoscope measures approximately 12 3/8" long, 6 7/8" wide, and 4" tall. Each card measures 7" x 3 1/2" with varying thickness of cardstock.
