Rarest of makers. German WW2 semi-automatic military issued rifle. 10-rd detachable box magazine. Gas-operated short-stroke piston, flapper locking. 21.5" barrel. Produced 1943-45 with a total of 402,713 made. Threaded muzzle with removable nut for blank adapter. Hooded serrated ramp front blade and tangent rear sights. Rough milled receiver, and bolt carrier. Serrated bolt hold open lever to the right of the charging handle locks/releases the bolt. Left side of the receiver stamped "G.43 "bcd" Eagle proof. Small waffenamt . Serial numbers: "2836a" on receiver, "6635a" on bolt carrier, "4829" on bolt, "1178" on firing pin & "4000g" on stock. "[eagle]/WaAA44" stamped on bolt housing. Two large waffenamts Eagle/214 stamped on stock, one small Eagle WaA214 behind triggerguard. "V" in circle stamped on rear sight. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Blued metal finish is very good with some minor scratches/edge wear. Blonde laminated wood stock, and handguard are very good with a few minor scratches/dings and 1" hairline crack extending from the scope rail cutout. Cupped steel buttplate is hinged for cleaning gear has some minor pitting. Cleaning rod present. Action is crisp/tight. One blue 10-rd magazine marked "gcb", "WaAB92", & "K43". Period brown leather sling marked "H. Baran" & "N41398/43D" in marker.
