<B>Gus Grissom's Gemini Door Plaque.</B></I> The wooden plaque is 23" x 11". The three-dimensional Gemini capsule is approximately 11" x 6" x 2.75". In 1965, Grissom was the command pilot of Gemini 3, the first manned Gemini mission. Accompanied by a signed statement by Garino attesting to its authenticity: "<I>The Gemini model woodblock hung on Gus Grissom's door in the astronauts office building four. I was asked by Gordon Cooper to remove Gus's artifacts from his office to hand over to Betty after Colonel Grissoms death in Apollo fire.</B></I>" With another signed statement by Garino saying that Cooper gave him this door plaque. <I>From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino.
