Grissom</B></I>", 2.75" x 6.25", drawn on the National Bank of Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, August 19, 1959, made to Howard Johnsons Motor Lodge. Grissom was one of the original "Mercury Seven" astronauts and was later involved in the Gemini and Apollo programs. He was tragically killed along with Edward White and Roger Chaffee while testing Apollo I in January, 1967. Light soiling, perforated cancellation barely touches signature.
