Samudragupta, Gold Dinar, 7.33g, ‘Javelin/ Standard' type, Obv: King nimbate standing left wearing coat, ear-rings, necklace and armlets, head surrounded by halo, offering oblation at altar on left side, garuda standard adorned with fillet beside king face, holding arrow in right hand, Brahmi legend ‘Samudra' under king's arm and around Brahmi ‘Samarashatavitata[vijayo jitaripurajito divam jayati]', Rev: Goddess Lakshmi nimbate seated on a throne facing, pearl-bordered diadem on head, holding noose in her right hand, cornucopiae in left hand with tamgha on left field and Brahmi legend ‘Parakramah' in the right field.
