Kumaragupta I, Gold Dinar, 8.16g, ‘Horseman' type, Obv: King nimbate, riding a horse trotting to right, wearing coat, necklace and armlets, holding a bow in right hand, bowstring facing out, a sword hangs down on his left side, horse's saddle conspicuous with pearls or beaded strings and around Brahmi legend start from 1 o clock ‘Guptakulavyomasasi [jayatyajeyo] Jitamahendrah', Rev: Goddess Lakshmi seated in profile on a wicker stool facing to left side, wearing sari, diadem, ear-pendents, necklace and bangles. Left handresting on waist with holding long stalk with leaves and buds and right hand a bunch of grapes before the peacock, feeding the peacock front of her and Brahmi legend ‘Ajitamahendrah' in the right field.
