American lawyer and politician (1747-1812) who was a delegate to the US Constitutional Convention of 1787. Uncommon Colonial 40 dollar currency, 3.75 x 3, dated September 26, 1778, entitling “the bearer to receive forty Spanish dollars, or the value thereof in Gold of Silver.” Signed at the bottom by Bedford, Jr., “G. Bedford, Jr.” In good condition, with scattered wrinkling, creasing, and toning, a slight brush to end of signature, a central vertical crease, and a bit of light edge loss.
