New Orleans blues guitarist (1926–1959) best known for the song 'The Things That I Used to Do,' who died of pneumonia at age 32. He is remembered as an innovator of the rock guitar sound, experimenting with distortion a decade before most mainstream guitarists. Partly-printed DS, signed “Eddie Jones,” one page, 6.5 x 9, June 3, 1955. Application for membership in the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), signed at the conclusion by Guitar Slim using his legal name, and filled out with his personal information. In fine condition. Accompanied by two blue carbon copy receipts.
