<B>Buddy Ebsen's Guild Guitar Given to Him by Fess Parker.</B></I> A musical gift from "Davy Crockett" to his sidekick "George Russell"; indeed, it was Fess Parker who gave his real-life pal Buddy Ebsen this Guild guitar. Hollywood history relates that Buddy was Walt Disney's early selection to play Davy Crockett in his projected 1954-55 series of TV movies, until Disney saw Parker in the science fiction thriller <I>Them!</B></I> and declared "That's my Davy Crockett!" Parker signed on, Buddy settled into the role of sidekick George Russell, and the two men had an easy chemistry in those fondly remembered Disney adventures. The instrument (in excellent shape, complete with pics) comes with its somewhat worn black case (with its "Guild Guitars, Inc." label and a plush gray/blue inner lining) and lots of inclusions: sheet music for "I Don't Want to Walk Without You," handwritten lyrics and notes for such songs as "You'll Never Know," and a fact sheet on the "New Zeke Manners Lectro-Logic Guitar Learning System," noted as "a completely new 1976 concept."
