Original pair of gloves worn by a Sakaaran Soldier in the superhero film "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014), where a group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. The film was directed by James Gunn, who wrote the screenplay with Nicole Perlman, and features an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooperas the titular Guardians, along with Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, and Benicio del Toro.
The Sakaarans, also known as Sakaarians, are a sentient insectoid race native to the planet Sakaar, which they share with a large number of stranded individuals of many different species. Many Sakaarans also served as soldiers for hire, serving both Ronan the Accuser and Thanos, participating in both the Battle of Xandar and the Battle of Earth.
