Grueby Cherub Tile ca 1920.
This is a terra cotta (unglazed) paving floor tile, by the famous Arts & Crafts pottery company, Grueby Pottery of Chelsea, MA. It depicts a cherub carrying a cornucopia. Made of coarse terra cotta clay, this measures approximately 6" square, and is 7/8" thick. The back is not marked, which is to be expected. There are two small edge chips and many impurities in the clay. A nice example in very good condition, able to be installed in floors as well as walls.

3. Sign a waiver of liability with the auctioneer and the owner of the building.
4. Complete the removal of the material according to the agreed schedule and salvage plan.
5. Make full payment for all winning lots before any material is removed from the building.
