President Cleveland appoints Thomas Wilson as an "Assistant Commissary General of Subsistence with the rank of Colonel in the service of the United States." Signed at the conclusion by Grover Cleveland, and countersigned by acting Secretary of War Joseph B. Doe. Embossed dark blue War Office seal remains affixed to lower left corner. In very good to fine condition, with some adhesive residue to the upper left corner, and light toning and small holes along the rightmost vertical fold.
