In full: “Will you serve as one of three commissioners to examine a completed section of the Northern Pacific Railroad. It involves a pleasant trip in good company and perhaps ten days time next month. Answer.” Matted and framed with a portrait of Cleveland and a name plaque to an overall size of 13 x 22. In fine condition, with a central vertical fold passing through a single letter of signature and light paper loss to left edge.
