Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 17.5 x 15, May 15, 1894. President Cleveland appoints Thomas Miller “with the advice and consent of the Senate, do appoint him Judge of the Police Court of the District of Columbia.” Signed at the conclusion by Cleveland and countersigned by Attorney General Richard Olney. Matted and framed to an overall size of 23 x 20. In very good condition, with scattered toning and foxing, portions of the handwritten parts of the document professionally darkened, and Cleveland’s signature lightly faded, but still legible. The orange seal is intact with vertical creasing.
