ADS, signed “Grover Cleveland,” seven pages both sides, 8 x 12.5, April 19, 1879. Cleveland’s lengthy handwritten court document regarding land transfers and railroad business as a private counsel to Buffalo and Jamestown Railroad Company. Having already served as assistant district attorney and sheriff, Cleveland was at this time in a private practice. The document is signed "Grover Cleveland" on the first and last page and is also docketed, "Cleveland & Birrill, attnys." In fine condition, with mild toning, wrinkling, horizontal folds and some paper separation along a few folds. This amazing manuscript may very well be the most verbose Cleveland item in private hands!
