<B>Grover Cleveland White House Autograph Note Signed as President</B></I>. ANS, "<I>Grover Cleveland </B></I>", 4.5" x 6.25", 2 pages folded, Washington, D. C., May 23, 1885. Written in thanks for a book sent to President Cleveland, "<I>Executive Mansion Washington</B></I> " is printed at top of first page above the written date "<I>May 23, 1885</B></I> ". A section measuring 4.5" x 2" has been clipped from the top of the first page and reattached with tape on verso, along the center fold and across one line of script. Two folds, horizontal and vertical across two pages, with a light tear at bottom of center fold, light discoloration over all.
