All pieces feature a scrimshawed motif that are highly detailed and are done by a professional. 1) 6 1/2 inch piece of ivory tusk with wood cap on both ends. An exquisite 1700's British/French naval battle scene with a mermaid is featured on the tusk. The scene depicts a bird's eye view of the Battle of Dominica on April 9th 1782. The Battle of Dominica or Battle of the Saintes was a British victory over the French fleet which forced the French and Spanish to abandon a planned invasion of Jamaica. Excellent. 2) Whale tooth elaborate pirate ship on one side and pirate on the other, signed "GASPAR". Excellent. 3) Extensively detailed table top globe with metal base. The globe is geographically marked. Overall height: 4 1/2". Excellent. 4) 4" long piece of ivory with whale hunting scene. Excellent. 5) 7" tall candle stick LET ME BE A LIGHT IN YOUR DARKNESS" on the base and a ship and portrait of a women at the top. Excellent. 6) 12 1/2" long powder horn with a ship and figured motif along with "TOUCHe PAS MUeA" in a banner. Fine, with chipping near the base. 7) High relief chiseled knight scene on a hollow cylinder shaped piece of ivory. With metal base and top measures 8 1/4" tall with metal handle like decorations on the sides. Excellent.
