Ryan, Boston, “Everyone must fall to and do the best he can in the great cause which has for its object a strong, united nation, living under conditions such as those the Colonel pointed out to us.”, small chips at the margins, fold creases, paper toned, but a bright signature in very good condition; a one page typed letter on U.S. Flagship Brooklyn letterhead, dated May 27, 1905, Brooklyn Navy Yard, from Rear Admiral Charles Dwight Sigsbee, Captain of the battleship Maine, to a Miss Brazier, “I am sending to Washington for some copies of the photograph taken of me immediately after the MAINE disaster. I shall be glad to send one to you…”, soiled, mounting remnants on the verso, the usual fold creases, very good; and a two page letter from naval hero and Medal of Honor winner Richmond Pearson Hobson, on Army and Navy Club of the City of New York letterhead, dated January 7, 1903, to the mayor of Binghamton, New York, S.
