1940, London, England. Group of Four London & North Eastern Railway Certificates. 1)Four Per Cent Guaranteed Stock certificate for 10 Pounds. Yellow. 2)Five Per Cent Preferred Ordinary Stock certificate for 10 Pounds. Peach. 3)Deferred Ordinary Stock certificate for 32 Pounds. Gray. 4)Three Per Cent Debenture Stock certificate for 14 Pounds. White. All are Issued to “Rear-Admiral Julian Francis Chichester Patterson…” Julian Francis Chichester Patterson (1884 – 1972). Rear Admiral. They are accompanied by a Stock exchange certificate listing all four stocks and signed by Patterson on July 1, 1949. Staple holes at top left. Stamp cancelled. The gray and white certificates have some soiling at lower right. All are fine overall.
