Packing and shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the Purchaser. Items may be picked up in person at the auction site until 5:00 pm on Monday, January 23rd after the auction. If purchased items are not picked up by 5pm Monday, or other arrangements with the Auction House have not been made prior to this time, your items will be removed from the facility and marked for third party shipping. Please let us know prior to the auction if you think you will want to make alternate arrangements.
Lot of (10) Miscellaneous early powder tins.

a) General store stenciled oval tin, 5" with cap. "Sporting Powder" in black on silver can. Worn lettering.
b) Stenciled round tin, 3 3/4" with cap. Japanned finish "Hoosic Powder / G, with star", 2 1/4" diameter.
c) A 5 1/2" tall (w/cap) orange oval tin with stenciled lettering. Well worn face. Able to read Hot (shot), Rifl (rifle), a partial eagle, Powder, H. Lowell & Co. West Acton, MS (Mass).
d) Paper labeled round (2 1/4") tin "Fine Shooting Gunpowder / Manufactured in Enfield, Conn." with bird hunting scene, well worn, some rust, cap intact. Japanned finish , 3 /34" tall
e) Brown tin, 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" (no cap) with partial round paper label "American Powder Mills / A. O. Fay, Pres't / Boston, Mass."
f) Tin, 4" x 2" x 8 1/4" with paper labels front and back. "Smokeless Powder / The Smokeless Powder Co. London" graphic of a sportsman and a soldier.
g) Oval tin with black finish, handwritten paper label "Sharps Rifle Co." 4 1/2" tall.
h) 5 1/2" tall tin with wraparound paper label "Leonard" "Ruby Sporting" in red letters, well worn.
i) 5 1/2" tall tin with wraparound paper label "Leonard" "Ruby Sporting" in black letters, well worn
j) Printed on orange tin, 3 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" tall. "Orange Extra Sporting / Laflin & Rand / Powder Co. New York, U.S.A." worn.
