Taylor</B></I>” (Governor of New York), 7.75” x 13”, Albany, November 7, 1817, toned with the usual fold creases, else very good; a one page autograph letter signed “<I>Benjm. C. Howard</B></I>” (Congressman), 5” x 8”, March 3, 1836, remnants of wax seal, with the usual fold creases, else very good; a one page autograph letter signed “<I>A. Spencer</B></I>” (Congressman), 8” x 10”, January 2, 1830, toned with fold creases, else very good; a seven page letter signed “<I>T. F. Bayard</B></I>” (Secretary of State), 7.75” x 10”, Washington, April 3, 1886, with the usual folds, else fine; and a one page autograph letter signed “<I>Sam L. Southard</B></I>” (Secretary of the Navy), April 1, 1829, tipped into a paper folder, toned with the usual fold creases, else very good. Included with the lot is a menu for an 1865 dinner given to the Honorable James W.
