Offered for your consideration is this Griswold No. 7 Tite -Top Baster with "Slant Griswold" logo. The lid reads "Griswold No. 7 Tite-Top Baster" in raised letters on the outside. The bottom of the lid reads "Patent Applied For / Erie, PA. U.S.A. / A 2604". In the center is the slant Griswold logo. The bailed-handle pot reads on the bottom: "The Griswold MFG. Co./ Cast Iron / Tite-Top Baster / Erie PA., U.S.A. / 2603". In the center is the slant Griswold logo (please note that the bottom of the pan is hard to read, as part of the surface is too worn.). This piece differs little, if at all from the "Tite-Top Dutch Ovens". It is believed that the "Tite-Top Baster" lid and pot are earlier products before the patent was granted. Both lid and pot are in good condition; with cleaning and seasoning, they could be readly for use. The roaster measures 6.5" tall with the handle x 11.25" at the handle tabs.
