Prop Grinch head used in production of ''Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas''. Jim Carrey stars as the curmudgeonly Grinch, the outcast of Whoville and spoil-sport of his neighbors' Christmas celebrations. This piece comes from Academy award winning makeup artist Rick Baker and Cinovation Studios. Polyurethane foam head has the Grinch's characteristic conical skull, high-set pushed-in nose and furrowed brow. The mouth area is a flat plane stamped, ''Who-vinile / Grinch''. Measures 7'' across, 12.5'' high and 9'' deep. Scattered spots and toning, else near fine. Provenance from Nate D. Sanders 9 September 2004 auction, lot 726.
