Green’s patent “oval bore” under hammer percussion rifle, .53 cal., 35” barrel, bright finish, full length wood stock, flared cleaning rod, sling swivels, #NVSN in overall good condition showing a light grey patina to metal surfaces, overall good bore with some scattered pits; good action, fair to good wood showing many scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage, stamped upside down “F” on right side of butt stock, no other visible markings beyond patent address on upper tang; approx. 4,000 of this model were manufactured between 1859 and 1862 by the A.H. Waters Armory; a hard one to find in any condition! From an old estate. Est.: $1,000-$2,000.
