Carve Avanyu surrounds this globular jar with bear on a silver lid.
Hand made by Pueblo Indian artist Jennifer TsePe, Jennifer Sisneros, daughter of Dominguita Naranjo.
Hand built with native clay, stone burnished green slip, sgrafitto carved and textured, pit fired.
4" diameter and tall plus the pottery bear on the silver lid, with crushed turquoise.
We see the pot must have cracked is the firing so she textured the green polished slip to camoflauge it.
