This exquisite green frosted glass figural powder jar is known as Minstrel and shown on page 396 in Hazel Weatherman - Colored Glass of the Depression Era Vol 2 and on page 33 in Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. This jar also appeared in the 1930-31 Montgomery Ward Fall & Winter Catalog. The powder jar depicts a sitting minstrel playing a mandolin. The lid is octagonal shaped and measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" with both the jar and its lid in excellent condition
