Green Lantern #1 (DC, 1941) Apparent VG+ 4.5 Extensive (P) Off-white to white pages. One of the most significant comic book characters from the Golden or any other Age, Green Lantern got his own title book in the Fall of 1941, about one year after his initial appearance in All-American Comics #16. And, as in the case of that issue, the first issue of Green Lantern is listed as "scarce" by Gerber in his The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books. That means there are estimated to be fewer than 50 copies of this issue in existence. Stay with us now; that means this book is rare in any condition. CGC notes here that "Restoration includes color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, re-glossed." Again, rare in any condition, and this one looks far better than its estimated winning bid. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $2,800; FN 6.0 value = $8,400. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
