These portraits of the 1872 Liberal Republican candidates were engraved by A. B. Walter and exhibit a high level of photo-realism. Light aging, else very fine condition. Although Horace Greeley and Benjamin Gratz Brown made a formidable team, the former's election year death left the presidential field wide open for U. S.
