Great Northern Railway station lamp-post, platform-fitting style with a square base and four corner bolt-holes. The fluted cast-iron post is cast "GNR" and is 74" tall including the frog. Atop is the 30" tall copper lamp case with a painted black name "TATTERSHALL" on two adjacent sides. Complete with an interior lamp consisting of a circular brass vessel; brass burner & glass globe. A superb lamp ready to be erected. Note Tattershall station, on the Lincoln-Boston line, opened in 1848 and closed in 1963 (see Lot 451).
