Great Lakes beaded knife sheath, belt, and knife. Pictured early knives and beaded sheaths of the American Frontier by John Baldwin, page 33, bottom right. Scabbard shows light blue background, dark blue beads, red, yellow, two greens, pink, whit and orange flowers. Cloth backed, nicely stitched with long beaded edge dangles, matching belt similarly beaded on a white background measuring nearly 4-1/2” in width. Beadwork in some good to very good condition with some small losses. Large butcher type knife. Measuring 17-5/8” overall with nearly 12” blade, which is nearly 2” wide, fits the scabbard well and is marked, “New Franklin”. Very difficult to obtain original knife sheaths, belts, and knives which are matching and this highly decorated. With book. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
