This is a Great Lakes Native American Indian Ball Head War Club from circa 1850-1860 and shows a carved human face effigy. The war club has a four sided forged iron spike. The piece has brass covered iron trade tacks for eyes and a heavy carved haft. The shaft has a natural split as shown. Very rare to show a Ball Head war club with carved effigy figure. The piece displays very well and is of museum quality. Measures overall 30"L with a 4"H x 6 3/8"W (including spike) x 4"D ball head.
