Great Eastern Railway platform seat with 2 initialled cast-iron seat ends and bearing a LNER cast-iron SEATBACK plate "HACKNEY DOWNS". 108" long. The wooden seat worn. Note Hackney Downs station, between Stamford Hill and Bethnal Green, opened as "Hackney Downs Junction" in 1872 and was renamed in 1896.
