<B>Victoria Proof Shilling 1853,</B></I> Young Head, S-3904, PR65 NGC, rare as a Proof, only a small (unknown exact) mintage having been created for the special sets of this year, their intent uncertain but possibly created to celebrate Victoria's 15th anniversary as sovereign of England -- here is a Gem Proof, a gorgeous coin of exceptional eye appeal, having bright golden amber iridescent highlights over a mirrored base of bluish silvery gray. Finer than most other pieces graded PR65, in this cataloguer's experience.
