Queen Anne pattern copper Halfpenny, Peck-730, undated but struck 1701-14, most likely near the end of the reign, possibly posthumously. MS65 RD NGC, a glorious example, glowing with mint luster, tiny patches of faint die rust here and there on the flan. Exquisite engraving quality! Among the finest known. This coin appeared in our sale #441 as Lot 51309 but was pulled when some novice complained that it might be a "restrike" because it was so superb. Well, it isn't a restrike, and it is well documented by Peck. Please review our more extensive comments in the prior sale. A marvelous memento from one of England's most glory-filled and elegant reigns. Worthy of the finest collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
