His curly brown hair, strong chin and fine features are evident on the 1826 Crown. George was extremely sociable, witty and a good mimic. He had more than a veneer of culture, and he was a connoisseur of art and furniture. But he was often also vain, unreliable, and an obscene rake . It is said that George debased the image of the British monarchy to a level never reached before, using his position merely as the instrument of living in self-indulgence. He died at the age of 67 in 1830 of the effects of obesity on the heart.
Estimated Value $6,000-7,000.

Our item number 99533
<IMAGES>

</IMAGES>
