Great Britain. Medal, 1794. Brown-383. Struck in bronze, engraved by Conrad Heinrich Kuchler and minted at Matthew Boulton's Soho Mint, Birmingham England. 47 mm. George III, 1760-1820. Medal commemorating Admiral Howe and the Battle of the Glorious First of June. The obverse has an effigy of Howe. The reverse features the naval battle scene in good detail. A very pleasing piece with a pleasant old patina. An early example of Boulton's craft. NGC graded MS-61 Brown.
