Choice Brilliant Uncirculated, absolutely as struck with gleaming satiny luster and truly beautiful surfaces, a generally sharp strike showing a wonderful portrait and a reverse shield that is fully detailed except for some softness of strike on the lower or third quadrant, and happily free from the usually seen black haymarks (tin impurities in the gold alloy). Very rare in this grade. Catalogues for £3,750 (about $7,500) in their "EF" grade in Spink's annual price guide (2007 edition).
