<B>George V Rocking Horse REP Crown 1935,</B></I> S-4040, one of just 2,500 struck for the king's silver jubilee, or 25th anniversary as monarch (hence the 2,500 mintage!) St George (earlier St Michael) has been transformed into an Art Deco masterpiece of the coinage, with a huge snapping-mouth dragon at the horse's hooves. Scarce, always popular, but finding one without impairment is the problem normally. Not here! This one is a joy. Gem Proof with iridescent silvery mauve and greenish blue hues atop the mirrored surfaces. Moderate cameo contrast.
