<B>George III pattern Penny 1797,</B></I> P-1083, PR64 BN NGC, vivid iridescent blue toning on top of two-tone brown surfaces, the king's bust in cameo relief, as is Britannia on the reverse. A few small abrasions. Far from perfect but pleasing to the eye! This variety hosts two sailing ships in the reverse design, whereas the accepted version appears with just one. This version probably reflects the original artist's conception, "the sea afloat with ships of the realm" or something along that order.
