<B>Edward IV (First Reign, 1461-70) Flemish imitation Noble,</B></I> S-1952, Fr-133, MS64 PCGS, a "fresh" specimen with abundant and lovely greenish yellow mint luster, exceptionally choice for one of these, which are avidly collected as they are closely associated with British hammered coins. Flanders produced its own gold coinage and Flemish engravers often aligned themselves with English die-cutters, so it is little wonder these are accepted as desirable examples of English numismatics. They are distinctive, and always readily different from native British gold issues.
