Both sides of this piece appear as reverses, with portrait obverses of King George II, ant both portrait pieces are offered as separate lots in this auction. 43mm, 31.1 grams. One side: Britannia seated in cart drawn by lion. At left, standing Justice. At right, another standing female representation. Below all: MDCCCLVIII. Above, on a banner: ECEDUS INVICTUM. Around, in two concentric circles, the exterior listing victories, with Louisbourg on top and most prominent. The inner circle names the Admirals and Generals, with Boscawen and Amherst most prominent on top. The other side: At the centre, a shield held by a crowned lion and a unicorn. On the shield, a French Fleur-de-Lys upside down. All around, details of victorious battles and generals. At top, Québec / Wolfe.
