Betts #169 Silver, 39mm, 20.5 grams. By Tanner, signed by initial T on obverse, lower right. Obverse features Britannia standing, holding spear and branch, globe, military and civil devices at feet to left and right. BOTH HANDS FILL'D FOR BRITAIN. In exergue: GEORGE REIGNING. Reverse: Queen Caroline standing, clouds behind at top, watering plants, GROWING ARTS ADORN EMPIRE. In exergue: CAROLINE PROTECTING 1736. This medal was produced as part od a complicated lottery project, to raise money for the rebuilding of Westminster Bridge.
